How to shop on SHEIN + Discount codes

Hey beauties

So many people reach out to me after watching my SHEIN hauls and ask me how to get the best success when shopping on SHEIN. So in order to help you out, and have it all in one place, I decided to sit and pen it down for you.

First of all, if you are not familiar with SHEIN, they are a Chinese clothing company. They are SUPER affordable and has truly become a big player in the high street fashion industry. The main reason most people love SHEIN is simply that its like an online Primark/Penney's. They have so many small quirky things in the homeware department, their kids clothes are great and they have great fashion for both men & women.

And here we come to why I love SHEIN.
SHEIN is not only affordable but they have affordable fashion for PLUS SIZE!!
I know of no other website that can offer the quality that SHEIN do. I know of no other website that offer as fashionable and quirky as they do. And I know of no other website that offer such a HUGE section for PLUS SIZE as they do. The sheer amount of items they offer in their plus size section is matched by no one. (as far as I know). No matter what style you want to play with, SHEIN has you covered.

And no, I don't get paid by SHEIN. I get free clothes in return for a video about the clothes they give me. I don't get any commission if you use my discount code. My code simply tells them that you have found my code somewhere and that I have done a good job at spreading the news about them.

But let me tell you how YOU can get the best shopping experience on SHEIN and how you can find the best fit. (all the advise is the same no matter what section you shop and no matter your size)

1. SHOP BY MEASUREMENTS, NOT BY SIZE
Before you even start to shop, take your measurements and write them down. You will need them!
You will need centimetres so if you are used to inches, make sure to google the conversion.
Once you have your measurements, you are ready to shop.

When you see an item you are interested in, click on a size under the pictures (swipe for more pics of each item). Under each size, when you press on it, up will pop the measurements for that size.
Now compare those measurements with your own to get the closest fit.

A little trick to get it all even better can be to go measure your favourite blouse, jeans, top etc to see what measurements you have there.

2. USE THE DESCRIPTION BOX
Once you have an idea about your size, next scroll down on the item to the size guide and description box. The size guide might give you a few more details of each size so worth checking out but the real treasure trove is the description box.

In the description box you will see what style an item is, the colour, name of patterns, details of the neckline, length, fit, waistline, fabrics and loads more. But most importantly it will tell you if an item is stretchy or not.

It will tell you if an item has NO-stretch, Slight/medium-stretch or High-stretch. And that right there is the gold of the description box.

MY PERSONAL golden rules are:
If it has NO-stretch - size up (meaning make sure measurements include enough space to move and flow as well).
If it has Slight/Medium-stretch - match measurements (meaning match my measurements to item measurements)
If item has High-stretch - match measurements OR size down (High stretch I match my measurements or can chose a size that is smaller than my measurements, especially in bottoms) 

3. KNOW YOUR FABRICS
Next up is also in the description box. The fabric the item is made of. I'm no gonna run through them all here for you but a quick guide is: If its man-made they wont shrink in the wash, if they are made by nature, they shrink. (take that into account with your measurements) 
Read the description and do a little google search on the fabric, if your in doubt.
Knowing your fabric does also give you a good idea of what material you can expect to receive.
SHEIN, at times, use some weird fabrics on some items. Sometime its more like a parachute material, other times its the finest knit I've ever seen.. Look closely at the pictures as (they sometimes have a close up of the fabrics) they will give you a good idea.

4. READ THE REVIEWS
Next up, scroll down a bit more under the item. You will now come to the reviews. This is reviews that ordinary people like you and me have left after buying the items. Some people post pictures so its worth going in to "view more" and see all the reviews. Read as many as you can. 
I have at times changed my mind on an item after seeing the actual fit on another person.

5. CHECK THEIR RETURN POLICY
Now this one is tricky and I HAVE NEVER RETURNED.. Strait up I will tell you that the return is a bit tricky and varies a lot from country to country. I tried to return once but as the item cost less to buy than returning I gave it up and gave the item to a friend instead. So the best I can do on this one is to tell you to go check the return policy and procedure in your country and see if it suits you. 

WHEN ORDERING
SHEIN has (in most places anyway) free shipping over a certain amount. They also offer coupon code from time to time and once you press "CHECKOUT", if you scroll down a bit there is an option to "Apply Voucher". If SHEIN has offered you a discount, you will find your vouchers there, but if they haven't, this is where you can use my discount code.

I personally always pay with PayPal and no, I have never had any trouble (so far) with customs to Ireland.

I have shopped on SHEIN for several years now and I truly love the site. Even if I never got to work with them again, I would still shop there.
